Through His Eyes

By Andrew Luk / Boston

It’s been a harsh winter in Boston with 3+ snowstorms but the Rabbi was still at the Commons refilling the Menorah lamps every day of Hanukkah.

Meet ChoCoClas’ English Editor, Jess

Hello! I’m Jessica, but you can call me Jess. Let’s not go there with Jessie, blatantly only a name for a dog. I live in London; I have a background in design/illustration & am now worming my way into the creative industry. I grew up in Hong Kong, have parents from New Zealand and Singapore and I have an American accent, clearly I am an enigma. I can usually be seen in every lipstick colour under the sun, shopping far too much, buying all things in every shade of black.

Creaming For Ice Cream

By Jess / London

Londoners love a good ice-creamery/gelato joint and the persistent cold weather proves no deterrent. Currently making a very loud splash in the ocean of all this creamy goodness are The Icecreamists.

Only just officially open at their Covent Garden address, The Icecreamists have managed to sell out of their most in demand and unusual flavour; Baby Gaga.

Yes, Baby as in infant and Gaga as in horn-wearing, egg-hatching ridiculous. The flavour in question is an ice cream made with breast milk. Yep, actual human breast milk from a real-life local mother. The Icecreamists have paired this with a delicate balance of vanilla pods, lemon zest and cream. But at £15 / US$24 for just one scoop, shocking the general public does not come cheap.

With Baby Gaga constantly sold out (I know, right?!) it’s unlikely I’ll be able to taste it, but do I really want to try it…?
